NBA: The Fierce San Antonio Spurs

Basketball is one of the most popular spectator sports in the U.S. and around the globe. Each team consists of five players, who try to score points against each other, by putting a ball through the hoop placed ten feet high at the opposite end of the team. Usually the tallest players in the team are place at the center or at the forward position, while the defensive positions are covered by the players with good ball tackling skills and speed play. The team that scores more points by the end wins the game. Basketball is the sport with the longest season, organized and conducted by the National Basketball Association (NBA), which is the premier basketball league in the whole world.
NBA offers the packed schedules with exciting matchups, feature some of the most impressive and inspiring teams. The San Antonio Spurs is one such team, with the third highest winning percentage among active franchises in NBA history. The Spurs are based in San Antonio, Texas and has achieved four NBA Championship titles, which is a record parallel to Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, among other competent NBA franchises. The San Antonio Spurs also maintain perfect records through multiple Finals series, a feat which is only matched by the Chicago Bulls.

Since 1976 - 1977, the San Antonio Spurs have earned seventeen division titles in thirty-three NBA seasons. This puts them in the first place among the NBA teams, to carry out the most division titles, with the Lakers at second place with sixteen titles. Since 1977, the Spurs have not missed the playoffs in the twelve seasons and have also made the playoffs in nineteen out of the twenty seasons. The Spurs exists as the city's only team amongst the four U.S. professional sports leagues. Being winner of approximately seventy percent of the games since 1997, the Spurs are ranked as one of the best teams in professional sports.
